To register as a nurse in Ireland, start by creating an account on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) website. Choose the appropriate division based on your qualifications—such as general, psychiatric, or pediatric nursing. Next, gather and submit key documents: proof of identity, academic transcripts, professional references, and English language test results (IELTS or OET). You’ll also need verification from your current nursing board. Pay the assessment fee and wait for NMBI’s evaluation. If your application is successful, you may receive a Decision Letter requiring you to complete an adaptation program or aptitude test. Once completed, pay the final registration fee to receive your Personal Identification Number (PIN), allowing you to legally work as a nurse in Ireland.
